Well, it is for my Leopard Gecko. l3

After nearly a month of anticipation, it seems that my wait is over. It seems that my gecko's gender is quite unmistakeably female, and thus I can finally name the lil' bugger.

I have decided on "Shiko". It is a stylized version of my original intent of "She-cko", which is just "She gecko" slapped together.

Now excuse me while I feed her worms.

I haven't sprited a comic in yeeaaaars. Well, maybe not years, but still a pretty dang long time. Feels good.

I'm currently ahead-of-schedule by 3 strips. Which is awesome. And I shall tell you why.

So far I've got #10 up, but I actually already have 11, 12, and 13 done as of this point. I've been putting up comics as I produce new ones. This way, if I ever hit a slump, I always have a few comics left in storage to put up during the stall. It's GENIUS!

It occurs to me that women, in general, have an overall negative outlook on their appearance, regardless of whether or not they look good. So it falls upon us men to positively reinforce your egos so you don't go all suicidin', yo.

You may have noticed I'm no longer using my old custom sprites. Instead, I grabbed some of the official ones and started tweaking them up to look better, and I'm going to use those instead.

This is MOSTLY in part due to the fact that all those old custom scratch-sprites are no longer accessible since my old computer crashed. They are stuck on it's old hard-drive which we have ripped out and stored for safe-keeping until the data can be retrieved.

But another part if it is the fact that I look back on those sprites and realize that they're just too 'neat'-ish. They lose that true-game-sprite look that these original NES guys have. I'm sorta expanding my spriting abilities by re-working the originals a bit to get a sense of how to make 8-bit sprites look more old-school.

Oh, and thanks to a friend of mine named Ken (Planswalker89), I now have MegaMan-9.

It is hard.

I can deny it no longer! Folks, I've been living a lie...

It's true! And the undeniable truth that I must reveal to you is...

I am NOT CrashMan!

Instead... I am AIRMAN!

The truth is I have always been a closet AirMan fan, but did not portray it properly because his sprite is hard to pose, whereas CrashMan has dozens of parts I could use frequently.

I have been AirMan since before that awesome meme-song "AirMan Ga Taosenai" hit the airwaves, and that makes it all the more awesome.
